Candidate Requirements
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Secondary Mathematics alongside an undergraduate degree in Mathematics Statistics Engineering or a related quantitative field.
Teaching Mastery: Strong subject knowledge with a proven track record of delivering engaging structured maths lessons aligned with GCSE exam board specifications (Edexcel/AQA/OCR).
Classroom Management: Excellent behavior management and organizational skills establishing a calm positive and purposeful learning environment.
Student Attainment: Experience in monitoring pupil progress evaluating diagnostic assessment data and delivering targeted intervention sessions to boost GCSE achievement.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver dynamic Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 where applicable).
Teach key mathematical concepts problem-solving strategies and exam techniques to prepare pupils effectively for GCSE assessments.
Track student progress mark assessments consistently and provide actionable feedback to guide student development.
Contribute to departmental resource sharing moderation exercises and extra-curricular STEM clubs or maths challenge competitions.
