Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Chelmsford from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Mathematics and committed to helping students achieve their academic potential. The successful applicant will become part of a well-organised department with a strong collaborative ethos and a clear focus on high standards of teaching and learning.

The role will involve teaching Mathematics across the relevant secondary age range with opportunities to contribute to the academic development of students of varying abilities. The school is looking for a teacher who can deliver engaging lessons establish positive relationships with pupils and create a classroom environment in which students are encouraged to participate and succeed.

The Mathematics Department:

The successful Maths Teacher will be expected to:

• Teach engaging and appropriately challenging Mathematics lessons

• Plan and prepare lessons in accordance with departmental schemes of work

• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching accordingly

• Set appropriate homework and classwork

• Assess pupils work and provide constructive feedback

• Prepare students effectively for examinations where applicable

• Maintain high expectations of behaviour and academic achievement

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the department

• Participate in departmental meetings and wider school activities

• Contribute to the development of students confidence and enjoyment of Mathematics

Experience and Qualifications:

• Qualified Mathematics Teacher

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Ability to teach Mathematics across the required secondary age range

• Strong subject knowledge

• Excellent classroom management skills

• Commitment to high-quality teaching and learning

• ECTs are welcome to apply

• Overseas-trained teachers with suitable qualifications may be considered

• Legal ability to work within the UK
