Master Planning Manager

Join Digital Realtys Development Engineering & Construction team as Master Planning Manager (f/m/d) and play a key role in shaping new data center development opportunities across the EMEA this role you will lead early-stage master planning and technical due diligence activities transforming architectural concepts into decision-ready development and investment strategies.

Your Role

• Lead front-end master planning technical due diligence and early-stage evaluation activities for new data center development opportunities including land campus and single-building projects.
• Develop and refine master plans block plans option studies and high-level concepts to evaluate capacity layout and technical feasibility.
• Translate architectural direction into decision-ready development packages including key metrics site constraints risks and planning recommendations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs from Acquisitions Design Engineering Construction and external consultants to support investment and development decisions.
• Manage and maintain master planning project briefs ensuring clear version control stakeholder alignment and design traceability throughout the review process.
• Support feasibility studies technical due diligence and consultant workstreams consolidating technical cost and programme information for opportunity assessments.
• Prepare presentations and development materials for internal reviews gating processes and investment decision-making.
• Drive consistency innovation and continuous improvement across master planning processes documentation standards templates and opportunity evaluation frameworks promoting the use of digital tools automation and data-driven methodologies to improve quality efficiency and scalability.
• Maintain high-quality project records and documentation to ensure continuity transparency and auditability throughout early-stage project development.

• Drive the digitalisation and continuous improvement of master planning workflows leveraging technology automation data analytics and AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency consistency decision-making and project delivery.

• Champion innovation across early-stage development activities by identifying evaluating and implementing digital solutions new technologies and process improvements that streamline technical due diligence planning evaluations and stakeholder collaboration.

What Youll Need

• Bachelors degree in Architecture Urban Design Planning or a related built-environment discipline; Masters degree or professional registration is advantageous.
• A minimum of 5 years architectural data centre design experience
• Proven experience in architectural design and master planning ideally within data center mission-critical industrial or large-scale infrastructure developments.
• Experience delivering and reviewing master planning concept design and early-stage development projects from opportunity evaluation through investment decision-making.
• Strong understanding of site planning zoning infrastructure power technical due diligence and feasibility assessments.
• Solid knowledge of the interaction between architectural civil structural mechanical electrical and ICT systems.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders including acquisitions engineering construction teams and external consultants.
• Proficiency with CAD BIM and document management tools used for architectural and master planning deliverables.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical information into clear decision-ready outputs.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail capable of managing multiple projects priorities and information streams simultaneously.
• Proactive collaborative and solutions-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
