As aManufacturing Technician you will build and test complete subsystems and subassemblies working closely with Engineering to troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the build process. You will independently prepare assemble and inspect components performing all functions of the assembly processfrom picking and preparing inventory to the final assembly and testing of process equipment tooling fixtures and devices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read blueprints process instructions schematics mechanical drawings pictures and other diagrams to assemble complex assemblies and subassemblies.
- Inspect test and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications tolerances and customer order requirements.
- Assemble parts or units and position align and fasten units to assemblies subassemblies or frames using hand tools and power tools.
- Position align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly. Connect cables tubes and wiring according to specifications. Disassemble units to replace parts or to crate them for shipping.
- Measure parts to determine tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers calipers and verniers.
- Drill tap ream countersink and spot-face bolt holes in parts using drill presses and portable power drills. File lap and buff parts to fit using hand and power tools.
- Operate or tend automated assembling equipment such as robotics and fixed automation equipment. Operate small cranes to transport or position large parts.
- Conduct tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Monitor gauges dials or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Troubleshoot and determine causes of operating errors and course of action to correct.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed troubleshooting issues and basic repairs on equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED (General Educational Development credential).
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience building testing and troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Experience with high-vacuum semiconductor hardware and manufacturing practices highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage and high-power systems including the safety practices theyrequire highly preferred.
- Cleanroom experience preferred.
- Must be computer literate in MS Word and Excel
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP system.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to be hands-on and get the job done on schedule.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems.
- The role requires strong handeye coordination steady hand control good grip strength fine motor skills for precise adjustments and the ability to handle tools accurately in confined or awkward positions.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Ability to work overtime.
Salary and Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $45460$57582 plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location experience and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
