Management Accountant

Were looking for a newly qualified Management Accountant to support accurate financial reporting effective financial controls and informed decision-making across Legal & General Affordable Homes.

Youll play an important role in preparing management information supporting month-end activities and partnering with colleagues across the business. This is an opportunity to build your experience in a collaborative environment where attention to detail sound judgement and continuous improvement are valued.

What youll be doing:

• Supporting month-end close activities and preparing journals accruals prepayments and other accounting adjustments
• Preparing monthly management accounts balance sheet reconciliations and supporting analysis
• Analysing financial performance and highlighting key variances risks and opportunities
• Supporting budgeting forecasting and wider business-planning activities
• Maintaining effective financial controls and following agreed governance and approval processes
• Assisting with statutory accounts tax VAT regulatory and lender reporting requirements
• Partnering with operational and development teams to provide clear financial guidance and respond to queries
• Supporting internal and external audits while helping to document and improve financial processes and controls

Who were looking for:

• A newly qualified accountant with an ACA ACCA CIMA or equivalent qualification
• A strong understanding of financial and management accounting principles
• Experience preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
• Advanced Excel skills and the confidence to work with detailed financial information
• Strong analytical organisational and problem-solving skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively
• A collaborative approach with clear communication and effective stakeholder-management skills
• Experience in housing real estate property development or asset management or knowledge of an ERP system such as COINS would be beneficial
