Job Overview
We areseekinga reliable and hardworking Shopping Centre Cleaner to join our housekeeping team. The successful candidate willbe responsible formaintaininghigh standardsof cleanliness hygiene and presentation throughout a busy shopping centre environment ensuring a safe and welcoming experience for customers tenants and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout the shopping centre.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas including mallscorridorsentrances toilets lifts escalators stairwells and staff areas.
- Sweep mop polish and disinfect surfaces asrequired.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and efficiently.
- Respond promptly to spillages and cleaning emergencies tomaintainsafety standards.
- Replenish consumables such as soap toilet paper and hand towels in washroom facilities.
- Use cleaning equipment and machinery safely and correctly.
- Always follow health and safety procedures including COSHH regulations.
- Report maintenance issues hazards or damages to supervisors.
- Work as part of a team to ensure the shopping centreremainsclean presentable and operational during busy trading periods.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public.
Requirements
- Previouscleaning or housekeeping experience preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced busy public environment.
- Good attention to detail andhigh standardsof cleanliness.
- Reliable punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to working hours including evenings weekends and holidays ifrequired.
- Good communicationskills.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures is desirable.
