Job Summary

Maintenance Operative. Dalton Court Care Home

  • Rate of pay: £14.50 per hour
  • Contract: 40 hours per week
  • Shifts: 8am - 4:30pm

Join our dedicated team at Dalton Court Care Home and help create a safe welcoming and well-maintained environment for our residents and colleagues.

We're looking for a practical reliable Maintenance Operative who takes pride in their work and enjoys solving problems while helping keep our home running smoothly.

What You'll Do

  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the home.
  • Complete routine health & safety fire safety and compliance checks.
  • Undertake minor repairs decoration and basic plumbing tasks.
  • Maintain the home's gardens grounds and outdoor areas.
  • Monitor building systems and respond to maintenance issues.
  • Manage maintenance stock and supplies.
  • Help ensure the home remains safe secure and well-presented.

About You

  • Previous property facilities or building maintenance experience.
  • Strong DIY skills including basic plumbing and repairs.
  • Proactive practical and able to solve problems independently.
  • Organised with good attention to detail.
  • Confident using digital systems to maintain records and compliance checks.
  • Friendly professional and able to work as part of a team.
