They are looking for a skilled apprenticed trained and experienced Maintenance Engineer with mechanical experience ideally with rotating machinery. Some electrical experience will also be required. Additional training will be provided.
Reporting to the Head of Maintenance you would be responsible for day to day
maintenance in our factory.
Knowledge skills and experience should include as many of the following as possible:
Level 3/4 NVQ diploma or equivalent in Engineering
17 th 18 th Edition beneficial
COCN1 Commercial Gas Safety Certificate
Experience working in a multi skilled maintenance role in a production
environment
Welding fabrication turning and milling experience
Adept at fault finding in mechanical electrical gas and plumbing systems
Willing to work beyond standard hours for critical breakdowns
Forklift driver or willing to learn.
Duties and responsibilities:
Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues with our machinery
Carry out repairs and fabrication work
Work closely with outside contractors to coordinate repairs garner quotes and
schedule routine PPMs
Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely as well as produce risk
assessments.
Maintain and manage our stock of spare parts whilst minimizing cost
Keep clear records of work utilising our computer systems.
Maintain the companys calibration records
This is not an exhaustive list - you may be asked to carry out other duties on occasion should they be required for the smooth-running of the operation
