Maintenance Engineer (night shift)

We are looking for a proactive and multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer Night Shift to join our Engineering this role you will support the safe efficient and reliable operation of production equipment during the night shift carrying out planned maintenance responding to breakdowns and helping to drive continuous improvement across the site.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Follow site Health & Safety standards including PPE LOTO isolation safe entry permit and contractor control procedures.

Support a safe working environment by ensuring safety checks job sign-offs and equipment records are completed correctly.

Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems GMP HACCP Food Safety Environmental and company standards.

Complete maintenance documentation accurately and ensure records are available for internal and external audits.

Carry out multi-skilled maintenance activities across electrical mechanical and controls disciplines.

Respond to breakdowns troubleshoot faults and ensure equipment is returned to a safe and serviceable condition.

Complete planned preventative maintenance activities and work orders within agreed timescales.

Record all maintenance work accurately in the CMMS including spare parts usage.

Coordinate with stores personnel to ensure required spare parts are available.

Provide clear written handovers to the oncoming shift and communicate key issues effectively.

Work closely with Engineering Production Operations Quality and Project teams to improve equipment reliability product quality and operational performance.

Support the integration of new equipment into the manufacturing environment.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience working in a food manufacturing FMCG consumer products or similar production environment.

Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting experience in a production facility.

Multi-skilled engineering capability across electrical mechanical and controls.

Awareness of HACCP PUWER LOLER and COSHH.

Good PC skills including Microsoft Office 365.

Ability to interpret schematic diagrams.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Organised proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.
