Job Summary
JOBSUMMARY
The Global Luxury Sales Intern will primarily support the Global Luxury Account Director Group in Lead conversion serve as a point of contact between customers Global Account Director and Hotels.
The Global Luxury Sales Intern supports the team with pre-planning for events including tradeshows roadshows and any customer related events as well as the following;
- Field and prioritize incoming inquiries and opportunities analyze the capabilities of the request and manage distribution to DET
- Once entered by DET intern to manage follow up and conversion of bookings with a set criteria as set my the Account Director
- Communicating with clients to gain a full understanding of the decision-making process including history key decision factors timeline and decision hierarchy
- Generating contracts to finalise sales transactions
- Perform general office duties to support the Luxury Leisure and MICE Segments
- The position will be based in the Global Sales Office London.
- Tour Operator admin support for the Leisure segment
- Admin assistance for Leisure segment
- Middle East support for THTB (Transient High Tough Bookings) (not managed by DET) / Group support for ME enquiries

- Fluent English required (written and spoken) and any additional European languages beneficial although not essential
- Knowledge of the luxury hospitality segment
JOB SPECIFIC TASKS
DUTIES
- Provide support to Global Luxury Account Director- MICE via conversion of bookings follow up with hotels and clients where necessary for updates and record all information obtained in SFA / Empower.
- Supports Director-Global Luxury Sales in administrative tasks including and not restricted to Group Account lead conversion and admin support.
- Evaluate qualify and share leads with DET in a timely manner. Majority of communication will be via telephone and email.
- Middle East management of THTB
- Assist in coordinating travel opportunities including Tradeshows industry roadshows sales appointments familiarization trips.
- Represent Luxury Group Marriott International Hotel Brands.
- Tour Operator Admin support
- Customer Lunch and Learn coordination
- Market Activation support / Managing customer list for all events and activations
- Reporting support
- FAM Trip admin support
- Assist VIP clients with personal stays alerting hotels.
- Multiple property presentation decks standard templates for GSO webinars
- Background checks on non-deployed accounts
- Supporting potential new accounts and data analysis
- Develop and maintain respectful working relationship at all levels of the organization including London GSO EMEA Luxury GSO and with property-based Group Sales Managers while working within the hierarchy to ensure results and goals are achieved.
- Knowledge of top group accounts by markets
- Manage special projects when applicable and assist Leisure Account Directors where applicable.
- Develop and demonstrate understanding and knowledge of key Group & Leisure hotels and destinations.
- Support on potential new accounts and data analysis
