Job Summary

Locum Dissection Biomedical Scientist in Histology

Banding: Band 6

Location: Derbyshire

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing

Working Pattern: Core hours only

Hourly Rate: 30- 35

Band 7/8A

We are currently seeking a Biomedical Scientist specialising in Dissection to join our clients team in Derbyshire. This is a full-time ongoing position working core hours only offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.

Key Responsibilities

Will be responsible for undertaking various Dissection responsibilities within the Histology lab. You will be required to work across Cat BCD & E.

Qualifications and Experience

- HCPC registration

- A Histology BMS with dissection experience no formal post grad qualifications Histology BMS with the DEP in dissection undertaking Cat B & C or aHistology BMS with the ASD in dissection undertaking Cat D & E

- Experience in Histology within a clinical laboratory

- Experience with microtomy and staining techniques

- Strong attention to detail

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

- NHS experience (required)
