Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Local Business Manager to support the effective delivery of high-quality Reablement care services within our West Essex Team located in Harlow. Reporting to the Registered Manager you will play a key role in the day-to-day operational management of the service ensuring business objectives quality standards and customer outcomes are achieved.
You will provide direct management and support to frontline care staff promoting a positive culture of accountability professionalism and person-centred care. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader with strong operational people management and organisational skills.
- Support the Registered Manager in the operational management of the service.
- Line manage and supervise frontline care staff providing leadership coaching and performance management.
- Ensure safe staffing levels through effective workforce planning and rota management.
- Oversee recruitment induction training and retention of care staff.
- Monitor service performance against key business and quality objectives.
- Support compliance with CQC regulations company policies and contractual requirements.
- Conduct staff supervisions appraisals return-to-work meetings and performance reviews.
- Investigate incidents complaints and concerns implementing lessons learned and improvement actions.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with service users families commissioners and healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to budget management resource utilisation and business growth opportunities.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and timely completion of audits and management reports.
We are seeking an individual who has:
- Previous experience in a management or supervisory role within health or social care.
- Experience of leading and motivating frontline teams.
- Strong knowledge of care service operations and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Experience of rota planning and workforce management.
- Good IT skills and experience using care management systems.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- 55p paid per mile tax-free
