Are you a Litigation Solicitor seeking more than just another fee-earning role

Our client is a well-established multi-office law firm with a strong reputation across Essex and East London. Due to continued growth they are looking to appoint an ambitious Litigation Solicitor (3 years PQE) to join their expanding Dispute Resolution team in Romford.

You will work alongside highly experienced litigation professionals gaining exposure to complex and varied matters while helping to develop and grow the department.

The Role

Job Title: Litigation Solicitor
Experience Required: Minimum 3 Years PQE
Location: Romford Essex
Working Arrangement: Primarily office-based Monday to Friday
Salary: 50000 - 70000 DOE Bonus

As part of a busy and growing litigation team you will manage and assist with a varied caseload involving both commercial and individual clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a broad civil and commercial litigation caseload
  • Handling matters including:
    • Commercial disputes
    • Breach of contract claims
    • Debt recovery
    • Insolvency matters
    • Professional negligence claims
    • Landlord and tenant disputes
    • Inheritance and contentious probate disputes
    • Building and property-related disputes
  • Drafting legal documents pleadings witness statements and correspondence
  • Preparing court bundles and documentation for hearings and trials
  • Conducting advocacy where appropriate
  • Liaising regularly with clients counsel experts and third parties
  • Assisting with the supervision and development of junior team members and paralegals
  • Supporting business development networking and relationship-building activities
  • Contributing to the continued growth of the litigation department
What Our Client Is Looking For
Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PQE within a UK law firm
  • Strong experience across civil and commercial litigation
  • Proven advocacy experience
  • Experience managing files with minimal supervision
  • Excellent drafting and case management skills
  • Strong client care and relationship management abilities
  • Experience preparing court documentation and trial bundles
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong IT skills including:
    • Microsoft Office 365
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to commute to Romford on a daily basis
  • Commercially minded with a proactive approach to business development
Desirable Requirements
  • Experience using LEAP Case Management Software
  • An existing local professional network
  • Experience supervising junior staff or paralegals
  • Interest in developing specialist litigation service lines
