The post available is:

  • Library Officer for Chorley Library

  • 37 hours per week

What youll be doing:

As a Library Officer you will lead a team of staff and volunteers to deliver a high-quality customer-focused service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing day-to-day operations of the library.
  • Planning and delivering a wide range of events (e.g. author events class visits).
  • Supporting customers with digital services (e.g. eBooks passport applications).
  • Building partnerships with local organisations.
  • Monitoring performance and ensuring service excellence.

You will be appointed to a library base(s) but there will be an expectation that you will work at other libraries as required.

Hours of work are listed against the available post and are a set working pattern over two weeks please see the rota attachment at the bottom of the advert. These hours cannot be changed.

Please note the salary quoted for this position is the full time equivalent. These positions are part time therefore the salary received will be paid on a prorata basis.
