Apprenticeship Overview:

• Salary:8.00 an hourAutomatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19 year olds
• Working Week:8am - 6.20pm - 3 shifts a week on a rota basis
• Hours: 30 hours per week
• Duration:12 months
• Level 2 Production Chef Apprenticeship standard qualification
• Online training supported by our dedicated tutor

Duties

• Prepare and cook nutritious appetising meals in line with planned menus and residents dietary requirements.
• Assist with food ordering stock control storage and stock rotation to minimise waste.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene cleanliness and kitchen safety.
• Complete and maintain records including cleaning schedules temperature checks fridge temperatures and stock sheets.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure meals are served on time and meet residents individual dietary needs.
• Follow food safety health and safety and infection control procedures at all times.
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen as part of a collaborative team.
• Carry out other reasonable duties within the scope of the role as required.
  

Qualifications:

• GCSEs in English and Maths at grades 49 (A*C) desirable
