The Governors of Rudyard Kipling Primary School and Nursery wish to appoint a charismatic highly motivated and nurturing Learning Support Assistant on a fixed term basis for 1 year in the first instance. This post will be to support children within our school who require individualised creative and purposeful provision.

We are looking for a special person:

• To join and further develop our nurturing and inclusive culture that strives for children to reach their full potential

• To support the learning of children working on individualised learning plans

• To plan fun creative and engaging activities

• To be reflective and flexible

• To work within a team in partnership with the SENCo class teachers and other colleagues to support the children in reaching their best outcomes

• To dynamically risk assess and manage childrens safety

• To believe in outdoor education and embrace our wonderful grounds and resources

• To follow our Empowerment Approach and School Values to enhance the childrens learning

• To have an understanding of strategies which support SEND learners such as Just Right Makaton visuals structure and routine

• To have experience of supporting children with complex needs who can demonstrate challenging behaviour

• To establish positive relationships with parents and families
