LeadSenior Software Engineer Full stack

The Lead/Senior Software Engineer - Full stack will be responsible for owning the design development and delivery of end-to-end platform capabilities across frontend backend and data layers.

This role requires deep expertise across modern web technologies including React / APIs PostgreSQL cloud infrastructure and integration platforms. The individual will take ownership of architectural decisions drive best practice across the engineering team and ensure delivery of secure scalable and high-performing solutions.

The role also includes driving innovation through AI integration improving engineering workflows and ensuring that platform capabilities translate into tangible product value.

Essential Skillset

• Strong experience in full stack development using React (App Router) and TypeScript
• Proven expertise in frontend architecture including SSR ISR caching and performance optimisation
• Strong backend development experience building REST APIs and backend-for-frontend (BFF) services
• Experience designing and managing PostgreSQL databases schemas and performance tuning
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and deployment tooling (CI/CD pipelines GitHub)
• Strong understanding of system architecture scalability and distributed systems
• Experience implementing authentication and authorisation models (e.g. Auth0 RBAC)
• Strong experience with modern UI frameworks including Tailwind / component libraries / design systems
• Experience integrating third-party services and enterprise platforms
• Understanding of security best practices secrets management and compliance requirements
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

Desirable Skillset

• Experience with serverless architecture and microservices
• Experience with event-driven systems and message queues
• Exposure to data engineering pipelines or analytics platforms
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks or LLM integrations
• Knowledge of DevOps best practices and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments (e.g. NHS DSPT compliance).
   

Qualifications :

Strong commercial experience in full stack software engineering is essential; a degree in Computer Science or related discipline is advantageous but not required
