Job Summary

Leads trainersin the management of training and retraining of the Distribution Center partner in the onboarding of new employees andassistingexisting staff in skills development in areas of proper lifting techniques safety equipmentoperationand process with Operations team IndustrialEngineerand Human Resources to ensure metrics documentation tools and systems are current and following company standards.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides coaching leadership and oversight to the shift training team.

Plans training schedules for the team to support the needs of new hires and existing staff.

Provide one on one training to new hires following the onboarding guidelines and checklistsas needed or when staffing demandsrequire.

Certify trainers on training material and process.

Instruct new hires on how to select and palletize grocery produce meat frozenfoodand dairy orders for shipment to retail stores accurately

Teach new hires how tooperatepallet jacks forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner

Assist Safety Specialist in implementation of monthly tips and recertify employees after incidents on equipment.

Monitoraisles and provide feedback/coaching to all employees on techniques.

Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processesimpactingtheir work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency productivity and reduce costs.

Monitoroverall new hire trends metrics and collaborate with Human Resources and operation on retention strategies.

Interview and hire new trainers.

Preferred Qualifications:

High School Education or equivalent

Training experience inselectionand lift driving.

Experience inADUSA distribution environment.

Previousleadership experience desired.

Skills:

  • Ability to create reports and documentation.

  • Ability tooperatea pallet jack and lift.

Excellent verbal communication interpersonal and problem identification/solving skills with the ability to read and write English.

Ability to lead others andassistwhen needed.

Demonstrateddedication to safety with a history of working well with others and contributing to a team effort

Ability to lead and communicate in a professional manner.

  • Ability to partner with various teams and individuals in the Distribution Center.

Abilities:

Ability to use Microsoft office suite WMS and other Warehouse tools.

Ability to coach team members and staff effectively.

Ability to communicate in verbal and written correspondence.

Ability to work a variety of work shifts and schedules (length time weekends holidays)

Ability to stand forlong periodsof time

Ability to hear a forced whisper at not less than 5 feet with or without use of a hearing aid

Commitment to excellence and a willingness to be trained in a variety of positionsdemonstratingmulti-skill capabilities.

Able to use personal computer for data entry and research purposes

Highly motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasksin afast-pacedenvironment

Visual acuity of at least 20/40 (Snellen) in each eye with or without corrective lenses

Ability to wear a headset to support voiceselectionfor all areas of warehouseselection

Ability to work in a 5 degree to 90 degree Fahrenheit environment (temperature varies within each department) forlong periodsof time.

Ability to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
