Lead Toddler Teacher

The Goddard School of Hastings-on-Hudson is seeking a caring enthusiastic and dependable Lead Toddler Teacher to join our team of passionate educators.

Our Wonder of Learning curriculum is play-based and inquiry-driven creating a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore discover and grow. We are looking for an educator who is committed to providing high-quality early childhood education and inspiring a lifelong love of learning.

Responsibilities

As a Lead Toddler Teacher you will:

  • Establish and maintain a safe healthy and nurturing environment for children.
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum using The Goddard Schools Wonder of Learning framework.
  • Support childrens physical cognitive language and social-emotional development.
  • Provide positive guidance while fostering each childs confidence independence and self-esteem.
  • Build strong respectful relationships with families through regular communication and collaboration.
  • Lead an engaging responsive classroom that encourages exploration and discovery.
  • Collaborate with school leadership and fellow teachers to maintain a positive professional work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and school policies.
Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or early childhood education setting is preferred.
  • A minimum of 12 college credits in Early Childhood Education with a plan of study leading toward a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Strong communication organizational multitasking and collaboration skills.
  • A positive attitude reliability and a genuine passion for working with young children.
