What Youll Do At Elekta:

As a Lead Software Developer in Test youll play a key role in shaping the quality engineering strategy behind Elektas radiation therapy treatment systems. Working closely with software engineers testers Product Owners and architects youll drive modern test automation practices champion a shift-left quality culture and help ensure our products continue to meet the highest standards expected in a safety-critical medical device environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design development and evolution of automated test frameworks for complex safety-critical software.
• Define and implement test automation strategies that support high-quality software delivery.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to improve efficiency reliability and release confidence.
• Act as the technical authority for test architecture tooling and quality engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with development teams Product Owners and architects to build scalable and testable solutions.
• Mentor and support SDETs test engineers and other team members fostering a quality-first mindset.
• Drive continuous improvement through the adoption of new testing technologies tools and practices.
• Support the investigation and resolution of complex software quality issues and contribute to long-term quality roadmaps.

What Youll Bring:

• Significant experience as a Software Developer in Test SDET or Test Automation Engineer with expertise in designing and owning automation frameworks.
• Strong experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and implementing modern DevSecOps practices.
• Proven ability to define and drive quality engineering strategies within a regulated or safety-critical environment.
• Hands-on experience with Python JavaScript/TypeScript Cypress Selenium or similar automation technologies.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to influence teams and promote a shift-left testing culture.
• Experience troubleshooting complex software quality challenges and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and a passion for delivering high-quality maintainable software.
