What will you be doing
As a Lead OT Engineer you will provide technical leadership oversight and strategic direction across Operational Technology (OT) systems used within Anglian Waters operational environments. Acting as the primary point of contact for complex OT and process control challenges you will support fieldengineers operational teams and stakeholders in diagnosing and resolving high-impact technical issues whilst supporting with the delivery of large capital schemes. Yourexpertisewill be central to ensuring regulatory compliance reducing leakage and pollution events and upholding service resilience across our critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the OT Programme Team and senior business stakeholders to ensure project deliverables and outcomes are fully aligned to AM8goals to enable business outcomes to be I2S energy efficiencies and OPEX savings
Undertake technical risk assessments todetermineareas of risk and impact of changes to be implemented to existing automation control systems andIndustryControlNetworks
Responsible for the creation of high-level customer requirements documents (IRDS) and detailed Functional Design Specifications (FDS) including system architectures for new and modifications to existing Automation & SCADA systems industry control networks
Work closely with all AWS capital delivery partners (@one/IOS) and 3rd party supplies to ensure new hardware has been fully tested and approved before installation.
Undertake the review and sign-off of 3rd party technical documentation and designs relating to the delivery of Automation and SCADA capital delivery project
Support and facilitate POCs and trials of new Automation/SCADA hardware technology and systems to support the delivery of the OT strategye.g.IIoT Industry 4.0 etc
Undertake on-site commissioning and service integration of new and modifications relating toexisting PLC/SCADA and industrial control networks
Knowledge & Skills
Extensive industry experience of engineering implementing andmaintainingOT Process Control
SCADAPLCand Industrial Networks
Provide technicalexpertiseon Telemetry outstations PLCs/SCADA/HMIsand associated networking infrastructure
Ability to practically apply available and emerging technologies within OT engineering to deliver robust reliable commissionableoperableand maintainableassetswithin a regulatory environment
Extensive knowledge and experience of the OT discipline processesconceptsand best practice
Proven troubleshooting skills with an ability todemonstratemethodical approaches to problem solving
Ability to write clear conciseaccurateengineering & design specifications with measurable outputs
Strong motivation and coaching skills
Excellent communicatorand able to challenge and collaborate constructivelyat all levels
Full Driving Licence
