About the team

This role sits at the heart of one of Verys most exciting areas.

Youll work across our web and mobile experiences helping shape the products and features that millions of customers interact with every year. From large-scale transformation initiatives to continuous optimisation youll play a key role in making sure great ideas become great outcomes.

Youll have significant influence across Product Engineering UX and business stakeholders helping teams stay focused aligned and moving at pace. At the same time youll help raise the bar for delivery excellence across the wider organisation by championing best practice coaching others and continuously improving how we work.

This isnt about simply tracking plans and reporting status. Its about creating the conditions for high-performing teams to do their best work and deliver meaningful value for customers and the business.

Thats why were looking for a Lead Delivery Manager to join our Digital Customer Experience (DCX) tribe.

This is a chance to lead the delivery of high-profile initiatives that directly impact how customers shop with us. Youll work across multiple squads influence product and technology strategy and help create the kind of seamless experiences that set Very apart from the competition.

Youll help shape the future of digital experiences at Very by:

  • Leading the delivery of large complex initiatives across multiple product squads and strategic programmes
  • Creating the clarity focus and momentum that enables teams to deliver valuable customer outcomes consistently
  • Working closely with Product Managers Engineers and Designers to align priorities and turn ambitious roadmaps into reality
  • Removing blockers managing dependencies and helping teams navigate complexity with confidence
  • Driving a culture of accountability ownership and continuous improvement across delivery teams
  • Using data and delivery metrics to improve flow predictability and overall performance
  • Bringing stakeholders together to make informed decisions and maintain momentum on key initiatives
  • Managing risks proactively and ensuring challenges are surfaced early with clear mitigation plans
  • Supporting investment decisions through strong planning governance and financial oversight
  • Coaching and mentoring delivery professionals helping raise capability across the broader delivery community
  • Playing a leading role in building world-class delivery practices that help Very move faster and smarter

About you

Youll be an experienced delivery leader who enjoys operating in complex environments where collaboration influence and problem solving matter just as much as planning.

Youll likely have experience leading cross-functional teams within a large digital business and understand what it takes to deliver customer-focused products at scale.

Were particularly interested in people who:

  • Have a strong background in Agile delivery and know how to help teams perform at their best
  • Enjoy working across Product Engineering and Business functions to achieve shared outcomes
  • Can confidently lead large-scale complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders and dependencies
  • Bring a pragmatic approach to delivery balancing pace with quality and governance
  • Are skilled at managing risks navigating ambiguity and solving problems before they become blockers
  • Use data and insight to drive continuous improvement rather than relying on assumptions
  • Have the credibility and communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Enjoy coaching others and helping teams develop their delivery maturity

1st Stage- 45 Minute Teams Call with Agile and Competency / values led questions.
