The Opportunity

Placr Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced and detail-focused Lab (Bulk) Analyst to join a well-established asbestos consultancy based in Brighton.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and supportive business with over 20 years of industry experience providing services including asbestos bulk analysis surveying and air testing.

The successful candidate will play a key role within the laboratory team analysing asbestos samples accurately and efficiently while maintaining high standards in line with UKAS and HSE guidance.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing bulk asbestos samples in accordance with UKAS and HSE guidelines
  • Accurately recording and reporting analytical findings
  • Producing and quality-checking bulk certificates
  • Assisting with internal audits and quality procedures
  • Maintaining high laboratory and compliance standards
  • Managing customer enquiries regarding analytical results in a professional manner
  • Working independently while supporting the wider team
About You

To be considered for this role you will ideally have:

  • BOHS P401 qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience working within a UKAS-accredited laboratory
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar asbestos laboratory role
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • The ability to work efficiently without compromising accuracy
  • A proactive and professional approach
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Full clean UK driving licence
