Job Summary
Looking to take the next step in your social care career
Were recruiting a Key Worker to help lead a small dedicated team supporting an adult with learning disabilities and/or autism to live a full independent life.
This is a hands-on role where youll continue providing direct support while mentoring colleagues and helping shape high-quality person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality person-centred support in line with individual support plans
- Act as a positive role model leading by example within the team
- Support the day-to-day coordination of the service including rota oversight and shift guidance
- Assist with staff supervision induction and ongoing development
- Promote independence emotional wellbeing and meaningful activities
- Support with medication administration record keeping and compliance
- Liaise with families professionals and the Locality Manager
- Identify and respond to any concerns ensuring safe and effective support delivery
- Working flexibly across the organisation one weekend per rota period
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Senior Support Worker experience or 1 year supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism
- Background in Supported Living Learning Disabilities and/or Autism
- Ability to lead coach and support colleagues
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Knowledge of person-centred approaches and best practice in care
- Calm confident approach to managing challenging situations
- Commitment to delivering high-quality values-led support
