Job Summary

Looking to take the next step in your social care career

Were recruiting a Key Worker to help lead a small dedicated team supporting an adult with learning disabilities and/or autism to live a full independent life.

This is a hands-on role where youll continue providing direct support while mentoring colleagues and helping shape high-quality person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities


  • Deliver high-quality person-centred support in line with individual support plans
  • Act as a positive role model leading by example within the team
  • Support the day-to-day coordination of the service including rota oversight and shift guidance
  • Assist with staff supervision induction and ongoing development
  • Promote independence emotional wellbeing and meaningful activities
  • Support with medication administration record keeping and compliance
  • Liaise with families professionals and the Locality Manager
  • Identify and respond to any concerns ensuring safe and effective support delivery
  • Working flexibly across the organisation one weekend per rota period

Skills Knowledge and Expertise


  • Senior Support Worker experience or 1 year supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism
  • Background in Supported Living Learning Disabilities and/or Autism
  • Ability to lead coach and support colleagues
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Knowledge of person-centred approaches and best practice in care
  • Calm confident approach to managing challenging situations
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality values-led support
