Junior Transactional Accounts Assistant

We are seeking a Junior Transactional Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team in Bedford United Kingdom. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to develop their career in a fast-paced accounting environment. The successful candidate will support the transactional accounting function ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions whilst maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.

• Process and record financial transactions accurately using accounting software and spreadsheet applications Perform data entry tasks with meticulous attention to detail ensuring all information is recorded correctly and promptly
• Assist with invoice processing including verification coding and filing of supporting documentation Support bank reconciliation activities and investigate any discrepancies identified Maintain organised records and filing systems for transactional documents and correspondence
• Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve queries and obtain necessary information Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures as required Support the preparation of financial reports and statements under supervision Comply with all relevant accounting policies procedures and regulatory requirements Contribute to the continuous improvement of transactional accounting processes

Qualifications :

Skills & Experience Required

• Basic understanding of finance processes (AP or AR) desirable but not essential.
• Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Competent in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Willingness to learn Oracle Fusion ERP (training provided).
• Strong Willing to undergo a Criminal Disclosure check organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Good communication skills.
