About the role
As Junior Sous Chef Zadies you will support the Senior Sous Chef Sous Chef and Head Chef in delivering a high-end Asian-inspired small plates concept within a premium destination-led venue.
This is a hands-on role where you will assist in the day-to-day running of the kitchen support service delivery and help maintain high standards of food quality presentation and consistency.
Operating in a fast-paced high-profile environment you will play an important role in supporting the brigade while continuing to develop your leadership organisational and culinary skills.
You will be responsible for:
Kitchen Section Support & Service Delivery
Support the day-to-day running of a kitchen section ensuring dishes are prepared and delivered to the required standards of quality presentation and consistency.
Culinary Standards & Food Quality
Prepare and cook dishes in line with recipes menu specifications and plating standards maintaining high levels of food quality throughout service.
Team Support & Development
Support senior chefs in creating a positive kitchen culture while assisting with the development and guidance of junior team members.
Food Safety & Compliance Maintain high standards of food safety hygiene and allergen compliance ensuring all procedures and documentation are completed accurately.
Stock Control & Kitchen Organisation
Support stock management storage and kitchen organisation helping to minimise waste and maintain an efficient working environment.
Collaboration & Guest Experience Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver smooth service and exceptional guest experiences across all services and events.
Skills Knowledge & Expertise
Essential
Experience as a Junior Sous Chef Chef de Partie or similar role within a quality-driven kitchen.
Strong cooking skills and attention to detail.
Experience working in fast-paced service environments.
Good knowledge of food safety hygiene and allergen regulations.
Ability to supervise a section and support junior team members.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Flexibility to work evenings weekends and matchdays.
Desirable
Experience in Asian small-plates or premium dining concepts.
Experience in a destination or high-end restaurant environment.
Formal culinary qualifications.
Experience with new openings or concept-led venues.
