We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Sous Chef to support the leadership of our culinary team and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role is ideal for an aspiring culinary leader who is passionate about food quality and continuous development within a luxury hospitality environment.
As Junior Sous Chef you will support the leadership of our culinary team contributing to exceptional dining experiences while playing a key role in the daytoday kitchen operations. Working closely with the kitchen management you will help lead the team maintain the highest standards and ensure consistency across all food preparation and presentation within a luxury hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily operation of the kitchen ensuring efficient and organised service delivery
- Lead shifts while actively participating in food preparation and cooking to required standards
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of chefs and kitchen associates
- Ensure all food is prepared presented and served in line with brand standards
- Maintain strict food safety hygiene and sanitation procedures at all times
- Monitor the quality of raw and cooked food products ensuring consistency and excellence
- Assist in menu development food presentation and creative culinary concepts
- Work closely with Restaurant and/or Bars teams to coordinate service and timing
- Ensure all staff follow proper procedures maintaining clean and organised work areas
- Support stock control purchasing and inventory management in line with budget requirements
- Identify areas for improvement and follow up to ensure corrective action is taken
- Handle guest feedback professionally supporting exceptional guest satisfaction
- Report equipment faults and maintenance needs promptly
- Attend departmental meetings and contribute to achieving culinary goals
