Youlljoin theDigdatproduct team as a Junior Product Owner working across our Utilities and Communications product streams. Supported by an experienced Product Owneryoullhelp shapeprioritiseand deliver product features that make a real difference for our customers and users. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their product career who is curious tech-savvyand eager to learn.

Working closely with developers testers designers spatialspecialistsand business stakeholdersyoullhelp turn ideasrequirementsand customer needs into clear deliverable product improvements.Youllsupport product discovery backlog management user story creation testing releasereadinessand continuous improvement acrossDigdatsproduct portfolio.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop a strong understanding ofDigdatsproducts user journeys customerneedsand technical landscape.

  • Work across the Utilities and Communications product streams to support product discoverydeliveryand continuous improvement.

  • Gatherorganiseand clarify requirements from internal and external stakeholders.

  • Support the Product Owner with backlog management refinementprioritisationand sprint planning.

  • Write clear user stories acceptancecriteriaand supporting product documentation.

  • Help organise user story mappingdiscoveryand requirement workshops.

  • Work with developers testers UX/UIdesignersand spatial specialists to ensure requirements are clearly understood.

  • Support testing user acceptance testing defecttriageand release readiness.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including planning refinementreviewsand retrospectives.

  • Communicate progressquestionsand decisions clearly with internal teams and stakeholders.

Whatwerelooking for

Werelooking for someone who is curiousorganisedand confident working with both technical and non-technical colleagues.Youllbe comfortable asking questions listening carefully translating requirements into clearoutputsand helping teams stay focused on customer value.

Youllbring:
  • Experience in or exposure to a product business analysis projectdeliveryor software environment.

  • An interest in digital productstechnologyand user-centred design.

  • The ability to write or support the creation of user storiesrequirementsor acceptance criteria.

  • Strong communicationskills with the abilitytranslate complex technical concepts into clear accessible language for different audiences

  • The ability to triage and prioritise workeffectivelywhenmanaging multipleoptionsor competing demands.

  • Good organisation timemanagementand attention to detail.

  • Analytical thinking and a practical approach to problem solving.

  • Awareness of Agile ways of working.

  • A willingness to learn ask questions and grow into broader product ownership responsibilities.

It would also be helpful if you have:
  • Experience using Jira or a similar backlog or work management tool.

  • Experience in utilities mapping GIS asset datacommunicationsor customer service platforms.

  • Experience working with developers testersdesignersor technical delivery teams.

  • A willingness to travel occasionally for short periods where.
