About the team

Our Design team is split across our Covent Garden Office and Liverpool Head Office. The close-knit team are responsible for our own brand design work across menswear womenswear and home categories. Its a creative environment with design teams working hard to deliver great product for our customers.

About the role

We are looking for a passionateenthusiasticand hardworking Juniorto join oursmall but dynamicWomenswear team working from either Liverpool or role has a focus on looking atand buildingboth speed to marketprints &graphicsandmainwomenswearprints and graphicsfor our ownbrandsThe Very Collection & Michelle Keaganand being an active member of the womenswear team helping across multiple categories when needed.

This role requirespreviousexperience workingwithin a womenswearteamon print & graphicsand havinga detailed understanding of the process of designing a womenswear department where key areas would be Jersey & Wovens.

  • Researchingprint and graphicsforboth speed to marketand long lead also trend acrossmultiplecategoriesincluding Jersey Wovens and Nightwear.
  • Producingprintfocusedtrend boards catwalkreportsand shop reportsfor multiple womenswear categories.
  • Working closely withbuying teams to create a cohesive and saleableprints and graphics.
  • Working closely with the technical teamadvisingfactories ontechniques and colours.
  • Sourcing from thesupply base and building strong relationship with suppliers.
  • Reacting to sales information and designing commercially relevant fashion-forwardgraphics and printswith our customer in mind.

About you

You will be an experienced Womenswear Designerwith a keenprint & graphiceye. Previous experience at Assistant or Junior Designer level is essential and you will be ready to take on a new challenge in a varied and important role within our Design team.

  • Have strong presentation skills and be confident to present designs in meetings
  • Knowledge ofprinting techniques andfabricsand ability to translateonto product
  • Knowledge of colour graphics and print and ability to incorporate this into trends clearly.
  • Knowledge ofAi :toassistprint process.
  • Strongskills in illustrator photoshophandpainting&drawing.
  • Ability tocreateclear and detailedprint and graphicpacksto be sent to the supply chain.
  • Ability to translate initial ideas and concepts into commercial designs.

2nd stage - A 1 hour interview (in-person or over Teams) with the Hiring Team to present back a creative design brief that you have been set.
