Junior Business Analyst
Job Summary
We are looking for a Junior Business Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team designed to support the delivery of accurate timely and insightful financial & activity reporting across the organisation. This role provides an excellent foundation for a career in finance offering exposure to core FP&A processes financial analysis business partnering and stakeholder reporting.
The successful applicant will have a curious and analytical mindset with a desire to understand the numbers behind the data. They will also be Self-motivated and ability to work independently as well as part of the team alongside the ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet tight deadlines whilst managing conflicting priorities. We are committed to developing and growing our staff which means the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work towards a professional accountancy qualification (e.g. AAT CIMA ACCA).

What would be my responsibilities be my responsibilities as a Junior Business Analyst:
- Maintain and update financial models templates and data sets used across the FP&A function ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Support the development and improvement of existing models to enhance efficiency and analytical capability.
- Work alongside Senior Analysts in improving weekly activity flash reporting and automation of reporting to enable this.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and data quality within the team.
- Manage data inputs from across the business identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain data integrity. With a lens on Staff costs.
- Contribute to the annual budget process by collating validating and formatting data submissions.
Am I the right person for this Junior Business Analyst post
- Degree (or predicted degree) in a numerate or finance-related discipline (e.g. Finance Accounting Economics Mathematics Business)
- Experience handling and manipulating data in any capacity (academic personal projects or work-based)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas pivot tables data manipulation)
- Competent in Microsoft Office suite (Word PowerPoint Outlook)
- Familiarity with AI and LLM tools (e.g. ChatGPT Claude Copilot) and an understanding of how they can be applied to improve productivity and analytical workflows
- Collaborative team player who builds positive working relationships & confident liaising with stakeholders
- Willingness to learn and take guidance in a fast pace environment
