A secondary school in Harrow is looking for an enthusiastic Italian & Spanish Teacher to join their MFL Department from December 2026 on a maternity cover contract through to July 2027.
The timetable will be approximately 80% Italian and 20% Spanish so the school is ideally looking for someone with a strong background in Italian. The ability to teach Italian up to KS5 is highly desirable although not essential while experience teaching both Italian and Spanish to KS4 is required.
You will join a supportive MFL team and be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons assessing pupil progress and helping students develop their confidence and ability across both languages.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Italian and Spanish at secondary level
Ability to teach both subjects to KS4
Italian teaching experience to KS5 is highly desirable
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A genuine interest in developing pupils language skills
Full-time maternity cover
December 2026 start
Contract until July 2027
