About the Role

We are seeking a sharp driven Inventory Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at our Leyland this role you will be the master of our stock universe working shoulder-to-shoulder with Supply Chain ICQA and Finance Leadership teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and robust inventory controls. If you have a knack for keeping stock management precise and love turning complex data into actionable insights this is an excellent opportunity to make a measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the accurate recording valuation and reconciliation of all inventory balances.

  • Partnering with the ICQA team to ensure inventory processes are robust and audit-ready.

  • Maintaining iron-clad controls over stock movements adjustments and reserves including NRV and obsolescence provisions.

  • Supporting product costing activities and financial modelling to maintain market competitiveness.

  • Collaborating with Commercial Finance to align inventory projections with the broader financial roadmap.

What We Are Looking For
  • Professional Qualification: Qualified Accountant (CIMA ACCA ACA or equivalent).

  • Industry Experience: Strong hands-on background in retail or commercial inventory management.

  • Analytical Expertise: Proven capability in inventory planning forecasting and variance analysis.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate financial data into clear actionable insights for non-finance teams.

  • Operational Drive: Highly organised detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced corporate environment.
