This an exciting role for atalentedinternal communications professional. Essex Police is a growing complex organisation with more than 6000 police officers staff and volunteers spread across the Internal CommunicationsDeliveryOfficer plays a key role helping colleagues feel informedandvalued.
The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills across a range of media pay attention to detail and accuracy and ideally have experience of working on different content management systems.
You willassistin the designanddevelopment ofinternal communication materialand processesincluding the internal intranetproviding initial advice and information to officers and staffin order toraise awareness across the workforce oftheEssex Police visionvaluesand rolerequires a keen eye for detail and a focus on evaluating the success of projects and communications materials.
The role will involve writing sub-editing creatinga range ofcontentto support force wideinternalpublicity campaignsona number oftopics includingneighbourhood policing specialistservicesanddiversityand of supporting with eventplanning is also useful.

- Working towards qualifications in journalism public relations or marketing or similar subject or an equivalent standard qualification. This will be combined with around 2-3 years experience relevant to public. relationsmarketingor internal communications.
- Accuracy in every aspect of work including excellent writing content creation and editorial skills for range of media and presentation skills.
- Evidence of the ability to design develop and support media initiatives influencing for a positive outcome.
- Evaluation skills.

Office based Agile Worker:
Office based agile working with designated team area at our Headquarters in predominantly(60% or more) in one office space. The rest of the time works at home or at other police site locations. The role will offer flexibility in terms of place of work including some home working. The extent of flexibility will be agreed through individual assessment with the line manager to assess operational requirements and individuals suitability for home the event thathome working is agreed for the successful candidate there will be a requirement to regularly attend the contractual workplaceat our Headquarters in Chelmsford.
