Duties & Responsibilities:
- Dealing with suppliers
- Relaying relevant information to both Customer Service and Transport Teams via email and phone
- Optimise routing to ensure the most profitable solution for container movements
- Communicating with Ports and Terminals
- Ensuring correct revenue and costs for movements completed
- Adhere to cut-off times; both internal and external
- Liaise with the Team to ensure most efficient planning
We are looking for candidates to apply who have the following:
- Previous experience as a Transport Planner ideal but not essential
- Confident and clear communicator written and verbal
- Good UK geographical knowledge
- Can work on own initiative but also as part of a team
- Quick and efficient problem solving skills
- Organised at all times
- Flexibility to meet the demands of the business
