Interim Head Of Finance (Maternity Cover)

An established architecture practice is seeking an Interim Head of Finance to provide senior financial leadership during a maternity cover period. This is a pivotal role within the business supporting partners and senior management with clear financial insight while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function. You will balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery operating as a trusted adviser within a collaborative people-focused studio environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the finance team setting priorities and maintaining high professional standards
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts with clear analysis and commentary
• Oversee budgeting forecasting cashflow and working capital management
• Produce board-level reports and contribute to strategic and business planning
• Manage audit tax and statutory compliance including oversight of any international entities

Requirements:

• Around 10 years senior finance experience within a consultancy or professional services environment
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA ACCA CIMA) or qualified by experience
• Confident presenting financial information to boards and non-financial stakeholders
• Strong understanding of financial controls compliance and reporting
• Experience of managing international group accounting statutory reporting and multi-jurisdictional tax compliance
• A calm organised approach with the ability to operate both strategically and operationally
