Vargo is supporting a growing group with the appointment of an experienced hands-on Head of Finance to join the business on an interim basis.

This is a senior finance role cover reporting into the SMT. The successful candidate will provide financial leadership while overseeing the day-to-day running of the finance function across three entities within the group. The role combines financial reporting commercial support controls cash management and finance project delivery.

This is an office-based position working from the companys HQ.

• Oversee monthly management accounts and board reporting across three entities.

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and statutory compliance.

• Manage cash flow forecasting.

• Maintain strong financial controls policies and governance frameworks.

• Oversee corporation tax calculations and submissions.

• Lead the day-to-day finance function including transactional finance payroll and month-end close.

• Deliver finance projects systems improvements process redesign and wider transformation activity.

• Act as the key finance contact for auditors banks advisors and external stakeholders.

• Present financial information clearly to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.

You will be a qualified accountant with previous experience operating at senior finance leadership level. Youll be comfortable balancing strategic input with hands-on delivery and will have strong technical accounting reporting controls and team leadership experience.

This role would suit a Head of Finance Financial Controller or senior finance leader who can quickly take ownership of a multi-entity finance function and add value during a busy period of cover.
