Job Summary

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of anIntelligence & Impact Analyst on a 3-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 23.43 - 30.89 per hour

Summary:

The Intelligence and Impact Analyst helps Southwark Council make better evidence-based decisions to improve outcomes for residents. Acting as a core driver for data-led service transformation this role translates complex multi-source datasets into clear visual insights automated workflows and high-impact analytics using Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex analytical activity across large varied datasets using statistical methods to provide robust evidence evaluate impact and support statutory corporate and service-level reporting.
  • Design build and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards reports and visualisations that communicate complex data clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Build and implement automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline data collection file transfers and reporting pipelines.
  • Conduct needs assessments evaluations forecasting and local metric/KPI development to measure service effectiveness and value for money.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues while managing and protecting sensitive confidential data in strict compliance with information governance and ethical guidelines.
  • Work alongside service managers council colleagues and external partners to gather requirements support data-driven culture and present actionable strategic recommendation

Qualification:

  • Relevant degree professional qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience in Data Analytics Statistics Information Management or a related field.

Essentials:

  • Advanced skills in data modeling dashboard development report design and automated data visualization.
  • Hands-on experience creating automated workflows data transfers and reporting processes using Power Automate.
  • Proven track record of analyzing large complex datasets to identify trends evaluate outcomes and support continuous service improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions for diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong project management delivery and communication skills with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
