Instrument Coordinator

The Harbour Hospital in Poole is part of Circle Health Group Britains leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Instrument Coordinator to join their team of staff in theTheatre department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Oversee the preparation and availability of surgical instrumentation liaising with internal decontamination services and external hospitals where required.

• Ensure all instruments are clean functional and delivered to the correct locations in a timely manner to meet daily theatre schedules.

• Assist in the ordering rotation and replenishment of theatre consumables ensuring alignment with Circle Health Groups preferred suppliers and procurement policies.

• Support the theatre team in delivering seamless surgical services contributing to improved patient outcomes and satisfaction.

• Work closely with theatre practitioners sterile services procurement and external providers to ensure clarity and continuity in equipment and stock availability.

• Ensure all instrumentation handling complies with hospital policies infection prevention protocols and regulatory guidelines.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Experience working within a theatre environment or clinical support role.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced setting.

• Basic understanding of infection control instrument handling and decontamination processes.

• Good communication and teamworking skills with a professional and reliable approach.
