Industry Governance Lead (Committees)
Job Summary
Were looking for an Industry Governance Lead to oversee the committees and governance processes that support some of Great Britains most important energy industry arrangements.
Youll own the end-to-end delivery of committee governance working directly with industry leaders technical experts and elected representatives to ensure decisions are made efficiently transparently and in accordance with agreed governance processes.
Were looking for someone who enjoys ownership thrives on organisation and can keep multiple moving parts under control without losing sight of the detail. The role is a 10 Month Fixed Term Contract
Responsibilities
Managing the end-to-end governance of industry committees and working groups in accordance with service levels agreed with our clients
Developing and maintaining committee calendars and governance schedules.
Coordinating agendas papers actions and meeting logistics.
Building strong relationships with committee chairs members and subject matter experts.
Producing high-quality minutes decisions and action logs from often technical discussions.
Quality checking papers and deliverables against governance requirements and deadlines.
Chasing actions papers and updates from stakeholders and ensuring commitments are met.
Managing nomination and appointment processes for industry representatives.
Supporting new committee members through onboarding and induction.
Publishing governance documentation to online portals and websites in accordance with established controls.
Own the monitoring and management of email mailboxes relating to your committees.
Working with communications teams to ensure important information is communicated effectively.
Preparing governance papers and presenting recommendations to committees where appropriate.
Continuously improving governance processes reporting and stakeholder experience.
Overall ownership of the process documentation that underpins your work.
Exploring and implementing AI-enabled ways of working to improve efficiency and service quality.

Desirable skills
Experience supporting boards committees councils or governance groups.
Secretariat governance compliance or PMO experience.
Experience writing minutes actions and governance papers.
Experience working in regulated industries especially the GB energy industry.
Experience using AI and digital tools to improve processes.
