Industrial Thermal Insulator

Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Thermal Insulator to join us. The successful candidate will install repair and maintain thermal insulation systems on pipework vessels ductwork and mechanical equipment across industrial projects. The role requires high-quality workmanship strict adherence to health and safety procedures and the ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Install thermal insulation to pipework tanks vessels valves and ducting using mineral wool rockwool calcium silicate phenolic foam PIR/PUR and elastomeric materials
• Measure template cut and fit insulation sections and fabricate and install metal cladding and jacketing
• Read and interpret engineering and isometric drawings and insulation specifications
• Fit removable insulation covers and valve jackets apply vapour barriers and weatherproof finishes
• Carry out maintenance repairs and replacement of damaged insulation systems and report defects
• Maintain quality standards and ensure all installations meet project specifications
• Maintain site housekeeping and report material shortages or safety concerns to supervisors
• Work safely at height and in confined spaces using approved access equipment and follow site safety protocols

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in thermal insulation sheet metal or a related craft preferred
• CSCS or equivalent craft card and recognised safety passports such as CCNSG or EMSS desirable
• Certifications in working at height manual handling confined space entry asbestos awareness and face fit testing where applicable
• Proven experience on industrial projects such as power petrochemical oil and gas marine pharmaceutical or data centre sectors
