If youre an Industrial Electrical Engineer who enjoys working on large-scale process plant solving complex faults and seeing projects through from installation to commissioning this is a role where youll genuinely make an impact.
Were looking for an experienced engineer to join a growing team delivering electrical projects across the concrete asphalt aggregates and industrial processing sectors. Youll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle from electrical installation and panel build support through to commissioning fault finding and ongoing maintenance of industrial production plants.
This is a hands-on engineering role where no two days are the same. Youll split your time between the workshop customer sites and project installations working closely with both electrical and mechanical engineers to deliver reliable industrial process systems.
- Installing electrical systems on industrial process plants.
- Supporting control panel builds and industrial electrical installations.
- Commissioning new plant and production equipment.
- Carrying out electrical testing and inspection before customer handover.
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults on production machinery.
- Fault finding across electrical mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Working with PLC-controlled equipment to identify and resolve operational faults.
- Maintaining motors gearboxes conveyors pumps valves and other industrial plant equipment.
- Supporting electrical upgrades modifications and plant improvements.
- Liaising with customers and mechanical engineers during installation and commissioning projects.
- Producing clear testing documentation and commissioning records.
- Helping customers minimise downtime through effective maintenance and fault diagnosis.
Youll be trusted to manage projects from installation through to commissioning giving you real ownership and the opportunity to see your work operating on live production sites.
- Experience working within industrial electrical engineering.
- Background in manufacturing aggregates quarrying asphalt concrete recycling process plant or heavy industry.
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
- Experience commissioning industrial machinery or production equipment.
- Confident working with motors drives pumps conveyors and industrial control equipment.
- Experience diagnosing faults on PLC-controlled systems (PLC programming not required).
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Comfortable working both on customer sites and in the workshop.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- ECS Gold Card or equivalent.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Inspection & Testing qualification.
- Panel wiring or control panel assembly.
- Experience working alongside mechanical engineers.
- Knowledge of industrial automation or process plant.
- Work on varied industrial projects from installation through to commissioning.
