Job Summary
We are working closely with a local authority in Somersetto assist with the appointment of an Inclusion Leadon a 4.5-months contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 268.23- 369.00 per day
Summary:
The Inclusion Lead is responsible for leading the management and resolution of Stage 1 Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) complaints ensuring that concerns raised by children young people parents and carers are handled promptly fairly sensitively and in accordance with statutory requirements local authority policies and best practice.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate all Stage 1 SEND complaints within the Virtual School and relevant education services.
- Acknowledge assess and manage complaints in accordance with statutory timescales and local authority procedures.
- Gather and review relevant case records correspondence assessments plans and other evidence.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of complaints investigations decisions and actions.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification or equivalent professional experience in education SEND childrens services social care complaints inclusion or a related discipline.
- Good knowledge of SEND legislation statutory guidance and local authority processes.
Essentials:
- Experience of investigating complaints concerns disputes or complex cases within a professional environment.
- Experience of analysing evidence and information from multiple sources to reach fair and defensible conclusions.
- Experience of working with parents carers children young people or other service users in potentially sensitive or challenging circumstances.

- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
