Import operator

Our client has been established within the industry for many years and handles imports and Imports via all modes of Transport. They are currently looking for an Air and Ocean freight Import LCL Coordinator to work at their office based in Tilbury.

Purpose of the role:

The role will be to work on both Air and Sea freight LCL Import operations from start to finish.

Duties will include:

Work with Import LCL ocean freight shipments from the Far East into the UK.

Also working on Worldwide Import air freights shipments.

Checking ETAs and tracking vessels

Communicating with customers hauliers and carriers.

Upon arrival of goods into the UK organise deliver to customers.

Liaise with suppliers and customers for effective and prompt deliveries.

Liaise with overseas agents to ensure goods are cleared through customs successfully.

Advising customers with up to date information regarding their shipments and if any delays or problems arise.

Invoicing

Following up after delivery to ensure the customer was happy

Salary to 35k negotiable depending on experience

Office hours are Monday to Friday 9/5pm

Experience required:

The client is looking for someone who has worked in a similar role for a freight forwarders and must have Ocean freight Import experience and a good knowledge of working with CNS and Destin8.

Knowledge and experience in air imports would be desirable as this will also make up a key part of the role although this is not essential.

Excellent English and Maths skills.
