Import / Export Coordinator
Salary: Up to 33000 per annum

  • Location:Burntwood Staffordshire
  • Hours: MondayThursday 9:00am5:00pm Friday 9:00am3:00pm (Lunch: 30 minutes)
  • Employment: Full-time Permanent

Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment managing imports and exports from the company side is essential for this role.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and monitor international import and export shipments across road sea air and courier.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders carriers suppliers and customers to arrange and track deliveries.
  • Manage shipment schedules and proactively resolve any transport or documentation issues.
  • Prepare and check import/export documentation including invoices packing lists certificates of origin and export declarations.
  • Ensure compliance with customs requirements and relevant international regulations.
  • Maintain accurate shipment customs and audit records keeping up to date with regulatory changes.
  • Update internal systems book stock into Sage and reconcile shipping documentation with purchase orders and receipts.
  • Assist with freight costs invoice checking and general shipping-related administration.
  • Work closely with procurement warehouse finance and sales teams providing clear updates on shipments.
  • Support the wider team with additional administrative and operational duties including sales administration cover and helping develop the growing export function.


About You
  • Previous experience in an import/export or logistics environment.
  • Good knowledge of international shipping processes customs and Incoterms.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word.
  • Experience using logistics ERP or stock management systems; Sage experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A practical problem-solving approach.
  • The ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A flexible attitude and willingness to support colleagues across different areas of the business.

This role would suit someone who is hands-on commercially aware and not afraid to roll up their sleeves and help wherever needed.
