Job Summary
A supportive secondary academy in Nottinghamshire is seeking a Humanities Teacher to join its growing department. The school is looking for a versatile teacher with a strong background in History Geography or both. This would suit a teacher who enjoys working collaboratively and wants to contribute to a developing curriculum. The position is available from October.
Teach History and/or Geography across KS3 and KS4.
Plan engaging lessons that encourage independent thinking.
Prepare students for examinations where appropriate.
Assess progress and adapt teaching accordingly.
Contribute to curriculum planning and wider Humanities activities.
Hold QTS and a relevant Humanities degree.
Have strong subject knowledge.
Be adaptable and confident across different year groups.
Have strong classroom and behaviour management.
Be committed to supporting students of all abilities.
