Key responsibilities of the role:

• Lead health safety and environmental compliance across the site conducting risk assessments and implementing controls for key areas including machinery safety chemical safety ergonomics and workplace transport.
• Drive continuous improvement through the delivery of safety and environmental projects supporting the achievement of best-in-class performance and sustainability objectives.
• Manage and conduct internal audits of health safety and environmental management systems ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
• Carry out site inspections monitor key performance indicators and analyse health safety and environmental data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Develop implement and deliver training on health safety and environmental policies procedures and behavioural safety programmes to strengthen site-wide engagement and performance.
• Build strong relationships across the business and with external stakeholders supporting new product introductions leading safety forums and managing interactions with regulatory bodies including the Health & Safety Executive and Environment Agency.

The ideal candidate would have:

Were looking for an experienced Health Safety & Environmental professional who can confidently influence stakeholders drive positive change and promote a strong safety culture across the site. Ideally youll hold a NEBOSH Diploma a degree-level qualification and membership of IOSH or IEMA although equivalent experience will also be considered. Youll be a strong communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams provide clear direction and deliver practical solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A proactive approach leadership capability and a passion for continuous improvement will be key to success in this role.
