Job Summary

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Somerset to assist with the appointment of a HRA Interim Senior Lead Compliance on a 3-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 368.68 - 514.00 per day

Summary:

An experienced HRA Interim Senior Lead Compliance is required to lead and manage property compliance services across Somerset Councils housing portfolio. The role is responsible for ensuring all property safety compliance activities meet current legislation regulatory requirements and best practice standards across areas including fire safety asbestos water hygiene gas safety electrical safety lifts and radon compliance.

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership oversee compliance contracts and audits manage specialist teams and ensure the Council maintains safe and compliant housing stock for tenants and residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all property compliance and safety activities across housing properties
  • Ensure compliance with legislation government policy and regulatory standards
  • Oversee fire safety asbestos legionella gas electrical lift and radon compliance programmes
  • Manage audits inspections remedial works and compliance reporting systems
  • Lead procurement and contract management for compliance-related services

Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional qualifications including; Asbestos Management P405 Water Hygiene /Legionella P901 NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional and managerial development
  • Good standard of education (minimum A-Level or equivalent)

Essential Requirements:

  • Extensive experience managing property compliance within a social housing environment
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and building regulations
  • Experience leading residential fire safety improvement programmes
  • Experience managing compliance contracts audits and remedial works
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Budget management experience
