Job Summary

Are you an organised and detail-oriented HR professional who enjoys coordinating processes maintaining accurate records and supporting employees and managers throughout the employee lifecycle

We are looking for an HR Officer to join our HR team and provide a high level of administrative and operational support across recruitment onboarding HR systems training administration and general HR activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing multiple priorities ensuring compliance and delivering excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

What Youll Do

Recruitment & Selection

Manage recruitment administration from vacancy approval through to onboarding.

Liaise with recruitment agencies Talent Acquisition team hiring managers and manage candidate applications.

Schedule interviews and coordinate interview feedback.

Issue pre-employment assessments and communicate outcomes to candidates.

Ensure job adverts and job descriptions are accurate and published appropriately.

Manage pre-employment screening via ADP Platform including DBS employment education and right to work checks.

HR Administration

Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy within Workday SAP and other HR systems.

Prepare employment contracts offer letters contract amendments and employment-related correspondence.

Process employee lifecycle changes including starters leavers promotions and organisational updates.

Monitor probation periods and prepare confirmation documentation.

Produce routine HR reports and employee data for managers and stakeholders.

Support payroll administration by ensuring timely and accurate submission of employee information.

Onboarding & Employee Support

Coordinate onboarding activities for new employees.

Collect and verify onboarding documentation.

Arrange and deliver HR induction and where required coordinate meetings with key stakeholders.

Liaise with IT and departmental managers regarding equipment and system access requirements.

Act as a first point of contact for HR queries providing guidance on policies and procedures.

Support employee engagement initiatives and wellbeing activities.

Training & Compliance Administration

Maintain training records and competency matrices.

Coordinate training courses and certification renewals.

Track mandatory training compliance and provide reminders to employees and managers.

Assist with internal and external audits by ensuring HR records are maintained accurately.

General HR Support

Assist with policy updates and HR communications.

Support employee relations administration including meeting invitations note-taking and document preparation.

Support visa and Immigration queries and administration right to work compliance and Sponsorship.

Manage apprentices and graduate trainee programmes.

Support development and maintenance of competency management system.

Assist with management of Contractors (new hires and contract extensions) and compliance with IR35.

Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures.

Provide administrative support for HR projects and initiatives.

What Were Looking For

Qualifications

CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification (or working towards).

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Experience

Previous experience in an HR Administrator HR Assistant HR Coordinator or HR Officer role.

Experience managing confidential employee information.

Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding activities.

Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Skills & Knowledge

Strong organisational and administrative skills.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines.

Understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice.

Strong customer service approach and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Salary: Competitive dependent upon experience

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm

Location: Runcorn Cheshire with hybrid working available following successful completion of the probationary period and subject to business requirements.
