HR Manager – Westminster | Secondary School

Westminster ASAP Start Temporary to Permanent MondayFriday 8:30am4:30pm Term Time Only FTE

A secondary school in Westminster is looking for an experienced HR Manager to join its team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

Working closely with the HR Assistant youll take responsibility for the day-to-day HR function and provide practical support to staff and senior leaders across the school.

Youll be involved across the full employee lifecycle including:

• Managing recruitment onboarding and safer recruitment checks.

• Providing advice on employee relations absence and performance matters.

• Supporting disciplinary grievance and capability processes.

• Maintaining accurate personnel records and HR systems.

• Overseeing the Single Central Register and HR compliance.

• Supporting contracts variations and staff changes.

• Monitoring absence and supporting return-to-work processes.

• Advising managers on HR policies and employment legislation.

• Working alongside the HR Assistant on day-to-day HR administration.

Were looking for someone with previous HR Manager or senior HR experience ideally within a school or education setting.

Youll need good knowledge of employment law strong communication skills and the confidence to deal with sensitive employee matters professionally.

A CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience would be expected alongside a good understanding of safeguarding and safer recruitment.
