Job Summary
Southwark ASAP Start Temporary to Permanent MondayFriday 8:30am4:30pm Term Time Only FTE
A well-established secondary school in Southwark is looking for an experienced HR Manager to join its team as soon as possible.
Youll have responsibility for the schools day-to-day HR function and will work closely with an HR Assistant senior leaders and line managers across the school.
The role covers a broad range of HR activity including:
Providing practical HR advice to managers and staff.
Managing recruitment and safer recruitment processes.
Supporting employee relations cases.
Overseeing absence probation and performance processes.
Managing contracts and staff changes.
Maintaining accurate HR records and systems.
Ensuring the Single Central Register is kept up to date.
Supporting payroll and workforce information.
Reviewing and implementing HR policies.
Working alongside the HR Assistant on general HR administration.
The ideal candidate will have previous HR experience within a school academy college or similar education environment.
You should be confident advising managers have a good understanding of current employment legislation and be able to deal with sensitive matters calmly and professionally.
A CIPD qualification would be advantageous along with experience of safer recruitment and safeguarding requirements.
Temporary-to-permanent position.
